Dr. Cori Stephen
is the practice owner and a native to North-Central BC. As a veterinarian, Dr. Stephen’s interest are as diverse as her patients which she thoroughly enjoys. She is also a veterinary acupuncturist and has a strong belief in Integrative Veterinary Therapy. In her free time you will find her spending time with her family; most likely doing something fun outside. She is an avid horse lover and enjoyed a successful horse career prior to becoming a veterinarian. She is a member of the College of BC Veterinarians, the Society for BC Veterinarians, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the Association of Veterinary Acupuncturists of Canada and Horse Council of BC.
Dr. Amanda Janzen
is a 2016 graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She has been working on and off for NVAHS since 2007 gaining knowledge and experience to help her with her journey into and through Vet School. Dr. Janzen was born and raised in Vanderhoof, BC and has always had an interest in animals. She was heavily involved in 4-H growing up and has always been surrounded by animals on her family’s farm. She has a passion for cattle work as well as equine and small animal making her a perfect fit for NVAHS. Dr. Janzen received two awards at vet school; one for Excellence in Large Animal Medicine and one for Small Animal clinical Skills and Communication. Outside of work you may find her out camping and fishing with her family or spending time in her garden.
is a Registered Animal Health Technologist who recently graduated from Thompson Rivers University. She grew up in Vanderhoof and has always had an interest in working with animals, especially with large animals. She started out volunteering at NVAHS, moving into a part time position and has now joined the team full time. Kaitlin has a sweet little cat named Benita that she adopted from school. Outside of work Kaitlin enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as baking and cooking, snowboarding and skating.
Is a recent graduate from Nechako Valley Secondary School working to gain experience prior to heading to tech school in the fall. She plans to attend Oulton College in New Brunswick. She grew up in Vanderhoof and has always loved animals. In her spare time you can find Chloe either riding her horses or spending time with her family and friends.
Has always been surrounded with animals as she grew up on a farm in Vanderhoof. She was a member of 4-H for 10 years where she raised market lambs and steers. When not at work you will often find Erica in her music studio playing or teaching piano, playing the cello or in the kitchen baking and cooking. Erica also enjoys snowboarding and riding her horse Pedro.
